Frequently Asked Questions

What is PDAShare?
PDAShare is an online collaborative resource for distributing content, sharing perspectives, and perfoming informal assessment in a classroom environment.
How will PDAShare work?
PDAShare depends entirely upon the free applications built by AvantGo, Inc.. These tools provide Palm and Windows CE-based handheld computers asynchronous access to the World Wide Web.
What do I need to use PDAShare in my classroom?
To use PDAShare, all you need is a web browser, a handheld device running AvantGo, and access to the Internet. Our Palm Network research has resulted in the use of Palm Ethernet Cradles to provide broad range, high-speed network access without the cost of individual computers for each student. Many options are available, contact us for ideas on setting up your own PDAShare classroom.
What is the current status of PDAShare?
PDAShare is currently in development. This means that none of the services provided herein are guaranteed to be in anyway functional. However, we welcome your feedback on the features of PDAShare and hope you will be using this service in the near future!
